Was boss of computing support here. Had staff of students that were fun and smart, but could never agree on a place to eat. Had a small narrow office in probably the second-most confusing building on campus.
Was webmaster, printmaster, and part of the CS Lab group. Had huge beautiful office, and fun lunchmates. The magnificent green and sandstone Levine Science Research Center had a crisp smell of technology.
Started out as a Ph.D. candidate in Synthetic Organic Chemistry, came to my senses and ended up as Computer System Manager. Did everything computer-related here including fret. Office was cubicle where the VAX used to be. Having been a Chemistry Grad Student there, I knew the dust could kill.
