Register
Before you can do anything, you must first register a global user account. It’s simple: visit the main page and register an account. An email with your chosen username and assigned password will be sent to the address you provide. Really, it’s that simple. Once you have a global user account, you can create new ENinjas.
Think of your global account as a dojo: once you’ve got that, you can enroll your ENinjas:

Creating New ENinjas
Creating a new ENinja is just as simple as registering a global account. Once you’ve logged in with the emailed password, click on the "Add ENinja" link on the main page. Choose a name and a model for your ENinja, and click "Submit". That’s it. That’s your ENinja. Your fighter’s name is up to your own creative whim, but we’ve provided eight Eninja models. They all function the same, but they look different--and that allows you to create multifarious, customizable characters. Not on the ninja side of the ninja-pirate dispute? Think the ninja-pirate dispute extends to other epic fighters? We provide a pirate, aViking, and two roman style fighters, so as not to discriminate.

You can make as many ENinjas as you like.

Adding Free Attacks
Now that you’ve got your global account, and you’ve created an ENinja, you need your training. Without learning the basics, you can enter a battle, but you can’t fight. That’s kind of lame. You didn’t come here to hang out with your opponent. To learn, all you have to do is go to your global user account page by clicking on your name in the table on the main page. The URL should look something like this:
      http://people.virginia.edu/~waw3d/eninjas/setup-battle.cgi?opuser=YOURUSERNAME,
The bolded YOURUSERNAME should be, in fact, your global account username. Once at this page, click on the name of the ENinja which needs training. This will take you to his or her personal ENinja page. The URL should look something like this:
      http://people.virginia.edu/~waw3d/eninjas/eninja-info.cgi?id=n,
The bolded n is the user ID assigned to your warrior. You won't know what that ID is without visiting this page. Once you arrive at your ENinja’s page, there is a link underneath the image to Add Free Attacks. Click on it once.

Wait for it.

Wait for it.

Bravo!

You’re a fighter!
Almost.

How do I fight?
Starting a Battle
Starting a battle is pretty simple. On the main page, click on the name of a global account of someone you've contacted and are willing to battle. Once you have done this, it will take you to a pre-fight page. Here you can choose which single ENinja from YOUR global user account you would like to use to battle any of the ENinjas belonging to your opponent. Your available ENinjas should be listed in a table under "Chose your ENinja." Once you AND your opponent have done this, the fight page will appear.

Fighting a Battle
Fighting a battle involves three main things:
(1) Chosing an attack
(2) Waiting for your page to refresh
(3) Waiting for your opponent to choose an attack
It gets better. Outside of a battle you can purchase new attacks from the weapons store. These allow for stronger attacks, as well as healing within battle. Be sure to stock up before beginning a battle!

Ending a Battle
A battle ends when the health from one of the fighters reachesr 0, OR, there is no activity for approximately 2-3 minutes (it is approximate because of the refresh function of the fighting page). It could take up to four or five minutes for a game to stall out, depending on the refresh rate of the browser, server and Internet service of the user.
When a battle ends because of a glorious victory, the winner is awarded 10 points! Hooray!
When a battle ends because of a stall out, the user who started the battle is awarded 10 points, while the person who JOINED the battle loses 10 points. This said, be careful when starting a battle. Only choose honorable opponents.

(More On) Buying New Attacks
As aforementioned, you can purchase new attacks from the weapons store. You an do this using points you win from a battle. All new global user accounts are given 30 points with which to promote their beginning ENinjas.
