I am currently a second year graduate student at the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, Virginia. I did my undergraduate work at California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo in the great country of California. I have lived in Minnesota (just outside the Twin Cities), Colorado (in a suburb of Boulder), California (my family still enjoys the great weather in San Diego), and--of course--the great state of Virginia.

I enjoy hiking and camping, travelling, playing card/board games, and reading. I also recently moved to a place in the country where we have chickens wandering around on our property, so I seem to have taken up the new hobby of chicken watching; it's amazing how amusing chickens can be.
