Bruges, Brussels, and Ghent

In September of 2009 I spent a week and a half in Belgium traveling, consulting at the University of Leuven, and speaking at the International Society for Survey Research.

Bruges

Bruges (or Brugge) is a city of canals. It is well preserved and also well-visited by tourists.

Brussels

Brussels is the capital. These images are from the botanic gardens and from the Atomium.

Ghent

Ghent is an interesting mix of new and old. Here, I mostly took photos of the oldest parts of town.
