Biography
Scott was born in New City, NY and earned his B.S. in systems engineering with a concentration in financial systems and a minor in economics from the University of Virginia. Upon graduation, Scott joined the Intellectual Property Group of Miles and Stockbridge P.C., where he supported patent attorneys on complex technologies and authored applications for letters patent. Scott’s experience there kindled his interest in materials technology and he is now a graduate student and research assistant learning under Dr. Dana Elzey in the Materials Science and Engineering Department at the University of Virginia.
