I have two research
interests: perceptual-motor and cognitive development in human infants, and
psychoacoustic studies with human adults. The infant research concentrates on
how babies learn to reach for objects, how they represent objects and events,
and their understanding of spatial relations. The psychoacoustic research
concentrates on how adults identify sound sources and echoes. I am affiliated
with the developmental psychology area and the cognitive psychology areas.
*Note that between 1966 and
2002 I published under Rachel K. Clifton.
