The Troy area of Wisconsin consists of several communities. The largest is the Village of East Troy and the Town of East Troy; next is the town of Troy Center; and Troy is a very small community. With the budget problems of Wisconsin being similar to those of all the states these days, these communities are discussing the possibilities of consolidation or sharing resources. |

This is the sign for East Troy, Wisconsin, on the South side of town near the Interstate 43 exit. We stayed at a nice CountryInn Motel near the I43 exit. Stevie Ray Vaughn, the late blues guitar player, was killed in a helicopter accident in East Troy, Wisconsin. He was leaving the Alpine Valley outdoor venue, after a show with Eric Clapton. |

East Troy has a town square. The central area contains several picnic tables under shady trees and there is a brick bandstand. |

The Troy Center Fire Department building also contains the other city offices. A block away is a restaurant. |

Roma's Ristorante on the East end of East Troy is an outstanding Italian restaurant with excellent food, a full menu, and wonderful decor. They also sponsor a volleyball league. |

We arrived at the restaurant well before the dinner hour but we were served an excellent pizza by an understanding waitress. We had no trouble finding a place to park the car. |
