Foreign Policy Project |
The CIFP project, initiated by
the Department of Foreign Affairs and International Trade and Norman Paterson School of
International Affairs, represents an on-going effort to identify and assemble statistical
information conveying the key features of the economic, political, social and cultural
environments of countries around the world. Registered persons can query the CIFP
database in four ways:
- By Region - View regional snapshots, compare regions on key
indicators, obtain time-series for regional data, and more
- By Issue Area - View top 10 and bottom 10 lists for key
indicators;
- By Regional and Global Organization - Collect data grouped by
dozens of inter-governmental organizations;
- Through the Quick Query page - Advanced users can choose the
data they need using drop-down list boxes.

Project
ICONS at the University of Maryland offers
educational simulations of international relations at both the university and high school
levels. Students at a participating institution represent the decision makers of a
selected country and negotiate solutions to global problems via the Internet with peers
around the world. The Country Research Library features links to general sites
and to specific states, arranged by region. |

organizations etc. Includes also political parties. Online since June 1995. Contains more
than 17000 entries from 220 countries and territories as of October 2000. Frequently updated.
Available in English and German languages. |
