Transportation
Shuttle:
A free shuttle runs every 15 minutes from downtown to campus which also stops at the OMNI (http://www.charlottesville.org/Index.aspx?page=668). For a route map, view
http://www.charlottesville.org/Modules/ShowDocument.aspx?documentid=4835. The stop right before the "UVA Chapel" is closest to the meeting locations, however, to shorten the ride, you can depart at the stop after "Jefferson Park Avenue" and the rooms are only a short walk away.

Dulles International Airport
(2 hours drive to Charlottesville, take VA-28 south to Interstate 66 west, take exit 43A to US-29 south, follow direction to Charlottesville):
Dulles airport has the lowest fares and most direct flights, but that airport can be a hassle (security, parking, etc.) and the trip to Charlottesville is not easy.
Richmond Airport
(1.5 hours drive to Charlottesville, take Interstate 64 west and follow direction to CHarlottesville):
Richmond airport flight durations & fares usually fall
in between Dulles & Charlottesville, however it is sometimes harder to find convenient departure and arrival times for some reason. The drive, although ~1.5 hours, is definitely much easier that the drive from Dulles.
Charlottesville Airport
(15 minutes from University take US-29 south and follow direction to Charlottesville):
This airport is small with less hassle (easy parking, short security lines, etc.) and only about 10 miles from UVA. However, fares are more expensive & flight time is longer with extra connections (the flights tend to be pretty small planes & often connect through Dulles).

AMTRAK to Charlottesville, Virginia Station: 10 minutes walk to
University or Hotels
Parking:
Central Grounds Parking Garage on Emmet Street. Rates are $1.70/hour
until 5pm ($0.50/hour after 5pm) and they accept cash or check as
payment.
