Acceptance
The requirement for acceptance into the course is that you are
licensed to teach in K-12 grades and you have a degree from a 4 year
College. If so, you will also be eligible for the educator rate. This
also qualifies you for the special K-12 tuition educator rate given
below.
Registration
There are two ways to register.
Method 1
Call 434-982-5319 and register over the phone. You may pay tuition
by credit card (VISA, Master Card, Am. Ex) over the phone. An
administrator in the School of Professional and Continuing Studies(SCPS
will assist you with registration over the phone
Method 2
You may also register online through SCPS at https://www.scps.virginia.edu/registration/itc/user/.
Unless you have experience in registering in one of our programs, it is
best to call the first time.
Tuition for K-12 Educators - Fall 2007 through Summer 2008

The total cost for registering for a 3 credit distance learning
course is tuition plus technology fee ($12.00) plus materials fee
($25.00).
The cost of tuition is determined from the following considerations:
- Educator in-state residence rate $215 per credit
- Educator out-of-state resident rate $325 per credit
For a 3 cr. course for an in-state educator the total cost is $682
including the technology and materials fee.
For a 3 cr. course for an out-of-state educator the total cost is
$1012 including the technology and materials fee.
