I am a graduate student in the Biology Department at the University of Virginia, in Doug Taylor's lab. I am interested in the effect of host social structure on the evolution of inquilines. I am hypothesizing that there are greater genetic covariances (and therefore greater selection for benevolence) between social hosts and their inquilines than between solitary hosts and their inquilines. To address this hypothesis I am studying interactions between social and solitary sweat bees and their nematode inquilines. Please have a look around and send any questions or comments here.
