Thanks for a great career, Tram!
Long-time Detroit Tigers shortstop Alan Trammell announced
his retirement after the Tigers last game of the 1996 season.
Trammell, 38, played 20 seasons with the Tigers, including 19 seasons
with double-play partner Lou Whitaker, who retired after last season.
Trammell & Whitaker formed the longest-running middle-infield duo in
baseball history, and in my opinion, both of them should eventually
make the Hall of Fame. |
