Since August 2005, I have been the MyUVa Portal webmaster: a newly created position with the Department of Information Technology and Communication (ITC) at U.Va. In this role, my primary duties include regular updates to content within the portal, particularly targeting the information needs of specific groups at the university. A major part of my job includes promoting the MyUVa portal to groups, departments, and schools across the University. Previously, I served as a postmaster on the electronic mail postmaster and Abuse teams and as a computer and web support consultant in ITC. In January 2003, I enrolled as an undergraduate student in U.Va.'s BIS degree program offered through the School of Continuing Education and Professional Studies. I'm on track to graduate in May 2007. Since spring 2002, I have served on the Board of Directors for the Association of Collegiate Computing Services (ACCS) of Virginia. I acted as Chair of this organizataion from April 2005 to April 2006. My service on the board will expire in April 2007. Career notwithstanding, the most important job (and joy) in my life is being Mom to my daughters, Katie and Emily, our two cats and dog. |
