On August 15th, 2009 the UVA Cavalier Marching Band camp will start. This is a day before the full band camp, this extra day is required. During this day we will begin auditions and pre-game work.

 

Housing (in a hotel), transportation (charter buses), food (catered), and entertainment will be provided. Band camp is a closed campus. You will be transported from housing to rehearsals, meals, and entertainment. You will not be able to use your car during band camp. Anything that you need for the duration of band camp must be brought with you when you check in.. You will not be allowed to make a trip to a store! Be prepared for every possibility and illness.

 

Things you are required to bring:

-Athletic Clothes

-Sunscreen

-Guard gloves

-Sunglasses

-Bandana

-Outdoor Dance Shoes (if you don’t have them, you can buy them at Band Camp)

-GOOD ATTITUDE!

 

Things you SHOULDN’T Bring:

-Booty Shorts

-Low cut tops

-Alcohol

    Continental breakfast

    Morning drill rehearsal

    Catered lunch

    Afternoon outdoor/indoor sectional

    Dinner at a restaurant

    Evening drill rehearsal

    Nightly activities

         Skit night

         Karaoke night

         Trivia night

         Section Olympics

         Scavenger Hunt

         Pool Party

         Etc.
