I am currently an Associate Professor at the University of Virginia. I manage the Topology Website. Prior to this, I was a Whyburn Instructor at UVA, and a graduate student at MIT.
Recent work with Hopkins and Ravenel on the Kervaire Invariant problem has been written up in popular science magazines.
For years I ran the Talbot Conference with C. Douglas, J. Francis, and A. Henriques. The primary goal is to introduce graduate students and early-career post-docs to cutting edge topics in modern mathematics.
