| I have wanted to go to Hawaii ever since reading James Michener's "Hawaii" as a teenager. I finally got there in March/April '99 when I burned some frequent flier miles and went to Maui and Kaui for a week. See some of the highlights below. Ken |

The first day on Maui, I had the unique opportunity to sail on America 2, Dennis Connor's boat in the Freemantle Australia America's Cup. Once we were out in the channel, it flew like the wind, even with a shorter mast and smaller sail. I was thrilled beyond belief. |

| The 2nd day, I arose at 4 a.m. to see the sunrise from Haleakla, then rode a bike 37 miles down the mountain. |

| Hawaii beaches are justifiably famous, both above and below the water. |
Paddle a kayak up Kauai's only river, then hike a mile up a stream, and you too can shower in one of Hawaii's typical ribbon waterfalls, just like you see in the movies! |

A helicopter flight over Kaui is the only way to get a complete sense of this incredibly beautiful mountainous island, especially the rugged Napali coast. |
