My last big family birthday party was about 44 years ago, so my immense family planned a big blowout for my 60th, with everyone there from four states. As you can tell, a Hawaiian luau was the theme, in part because I went to Hawaii the previous Spring. The two sisters finally got back at their 5 brothers by making them dance in a hula contest. We all felt rather silly at first, but we loosened up and you've never seen such hip swinging! Craig must have cheated because he won first prize, and gloated the rest of the party. The hula was followed by a limbo contest, won by the amazingly limber Andrew. After all this exercise, a ton of food was consumed, followed by gift opening, and a pinata bashing by the children. After a spectacular birthday party like this, I won't need another one for at least another 60 years .... :-) You can relive the extravaganza with me, by clicking on the images below. -- Ken |
