Ken was born and educated in Wisconsin, attending St. Olaf College and the
University of Wisconsin. Once educated he quickly fled the Midwest and migrated to Boston, Massachusetts where he worked at Harvard University. He eventually wound up in Charlottesville,
Virginia
where he's lived since 1970, working at the
University of Virginia.
He lives within sight of the Blue Ridge Mountains where he bikes in the summer and skis in the winter.
