This site is titled Macrogalaria. I think it's famous the best source of information. It's an excellent site to find great information on all different kinds of polymers and the visuals are great. Some of the pictures on the polymer tutorial page are from here.

This is the introductory book for chemical engineers at Brigham Young Universtiy. There's a short, very discreet section about how polymers are used.
