Research Interests:
My research interests lie in the area of function-theoretic operator theory. Specifically, I study composition operators on spaces of analytic functions.

Personal Information:
I am a graduate student at the University of Virginia working under the direction of Professor Barbara MacCluer. I am originally from South Carolina and received my undergraduate degree from the University of South Carolina.

I am passionate about teaching and was honored to win a 2008-2009 All-University GTA Award as all as the 2008-2009 Mathematics Department GTA Award. Previously, I was a finalist for the 2007-2008 Mathematics Department GTA Award as well as a finalist for the 2005-2006 Seven Society Fellowship for Superb Teaching. Recently, I was featured in the article High Anxiety for A&S Online Magazine.

Other activities I have been involved with include the Girls and Mathematics Summer Program at the University of Virginia (2008 Brochure; 2007 Brochure; 2006 Brochure) and the Sonja Kovalevsky Mathematics Day (2009; 2008; 2007). During Summer 2009, I was assistant director for Girls and Mathematics and Worcester Polytechnic Institute in Worcester, MA (2009 Brochure). During Fall 2008-Spring 2009, I was a Graduate Student Associate for the Teaching Resource Center at UVa.
