Cerebral Palsy

Cerebral Palsy Group

Eighty families with children with a diagnosis of cerebral palsy have participated in the Child-Parent Attachment Project. The children with cerebral palsy are divided into two groups:

Locomotor

Forty children with mild CP make up this group. They have the ability to locomote either by walking, crawling or scooting, and are able to move themselves to their parent or a desired object.

Non-locomotor

The forty children in this group have more severe forms of CP and are unable to move themselves independently to a desired location.
