Well, here I sit, on my first day as an ITC Lab Consultant. Luckily my few scheduled hours are in an engineering computer lab, so I apparently don't get TOO many users with problems.
Last night I shadowed for 4 hours in a dead lab (6-7 users max) and so I had plenty of time to finish up most of the upgrades I listed in the previous update.
Now I sit here, halfway through my 2 hour shift, a little nervous but doing ok. Only had 2 ppl ask me questions, and those were "do you have a hole punch" and "do you have a stapler". Not too bad!
Site map is done, journal is no more, and gbook and news submission forms are fixed and finished.

And it's now 2003! Hope everyone had a merry christmas, and a happy new year! I had to work a lot over the break and didn't get much done, but I earned enough money to pay for school and get myself a Pocket PC (Yes, I am now a geek!). I decided that would be more useful than a new airsoft gun!
I just fixed the guestbook, which is always a good thing. That's about the only thing I've fixed over the entire break. I've been too busy playing Need for Speed: Hot Pursiut 2 on my PS2! However I do have some plans for the near future of the site, since my schedule this semester completely blows (hour breaks between every class! ahh!). Here's what I'm thinking of doing:
- Combining the "web journal" with this news section. They seem to overlap, and I really don't have THAT much to say in the news anymore!
- Streamlining the directory structure (which most of you don't care about).
- Adding a site map.
- Combining some of the subsections to make fewer links in that TOC over to the left.
- CGI news so I can manage it easier. Kinda like the guestbook except only I can enter stuff.
I should have plenty of time to do all this in the coming weeks, provided classes don't kick my ass. Last semester was good: straight B's except for a single C. Hope I can keep it up!
