Alrighty, as usual, right before break I have this desire to get my page into a semi-finished and polished look that I will be happy with when I have to leave it for a long span of time. I think it's about there. I might find a few little tweaks here and there, but I've done all the major stuff. All of those goofy blue buttons (guestbook and interests) have been removed, because they didn't really fit in with the over all scheme. I've also beefed up this section (news) so that every year I start over a new page, and I'm keeping an 'archive' of old ones.
Which reminds me: this site has been up for well over a year now! Even before the news section came about, I'd had this running for a couple of months. That's kinda cool. Doesn't seem like it's been that long but it has!
So anyway, I think this will be about it for news until at least the new year. The date updated in the lower left corner will be accurate, but I'm not going to stick stuff in here unless it's a major organizational change. This is mainly for my recordkeeping anyway, since I doubt if anyone but me actually reads this stuff!

Just added an artwork section to the site, featuring a bunch of pencil drawings I did a long time ago (like mid-high school). Most of them were based on some pictures by real artists (I always lacked real creativity) but I like them so I put them up anyway. Enjoy!

I'm going to begin another massive overhaul on the site, "trimming the fat" so to speak, getting rid of useless info and such. I've already done the pictures page and I'm working on my personal info. I've just gotten some JavaScript working for my menu bar on the left. I'll be making some more javascript spiffers sooner or later, but for now, it's dinner time. Ta-ta!

Not much new with the page. However, I've gotten a part-time FTP site running (basically up when my computer is up). However, since I'm paranoid and I'm not sure how well I set up the security, I'm only going to allow people I trust. That means I've actually met them. If you're a friend and want to check out some of the music, video, or download files I have, IM me and I'll give you the address and password.
In other news, school is in full swing. Over a third done with my 3rd semester!! WHOO HOO. Electric Circuits class is kickin' my butt. And math, too. But German rules. And CS is kinda fun. I have 2 earrings now. I haven't lost any weight, and I swear I'm gonna start exercising next week. I'm letting my hair grow back on top of my head (see the pictures section if you don't know what I'm talking about). I'm also playing around with facial hair, I've tried a russian-style beard, goatee just don't work (no hair will grow under my lip), so we'll see what's next.
In case you're wondering, this is my first weekend without massive amounts of homework and I'm trying to find something to do. So I'm writing stuff in a text editor and listening to trance music. Sad sad sad. Ok I'm gonna stop now.

Alrighty, my new Rammstein site is up and running. There may be a few minor changes here and there in the future, but not many and nothing big for a while.
Other re-organizational stuff (yay! another list! I like lists!):
- I've changed all the extensions of files on this site from *.htm to *.html; if you've bookmarked anything at this site (as if this site was worth bookmarking!), you may need to change the url on the bookmark.
- I've changed the display format of my guestbook quite a bit (I got sick of all the bold faced type) so it's more compact and concise. Less info to enter, too!

Wow, another update in only a week! I've moved and slightly redesigned my page of AIM icons, and I'm going to put them in with the rest of the website (before they were only accessible if I personally sent a link) cuz I think I'm going to start making more of them! Please send me ideas (no guarantees though...).
I'm also working on redesigning the music pages, making them more than just single sheets. Currently my effort is going into the Rammstein section (go figure) and I'll post here when it's all done. Feel free to take a look before that though!

OhhhKAY! My new Counter-Strike website is now up and running! This was my final project for my IST 129 (web design) course this summer. Netscape 4.7 chokes on stylesheets and tables for some stupid reason, so if you wind up with weird horizontal scrollbars and text going off the screen, you may just need to use IE. Believe me I spent a long time trying to fix it and finally gave up.
A link to this site will be up whenever I get the new linkset for the "stuff" section like I want it. Otherwise you can still get to it through the games page. Enjoy!

I'm in the process of making several changes in the near future. I'm implementing style sheets on a much larger scale than before, though you won't notice that to look at. I'm working to get those last two pictures up sometime soon. I am also going to remove the two "under construction" sections of my stuff section since I may never get around to them! Most of the changes I'm making are source code changes so as a viewer you probably won't notice most of them. Anyhow, just letting everyone know I'm not dead or anything; I am still playing with the page.

I've been playing with the page, as you can probably see, at home in my spare time. The biggest change you'll notice is probably the color. I was told by someone that black webpages with light text were hard on the eyes, especially for elderly folks. This, and my liking for just messing with this stuff, prompted me to begin changing the color over to be "lighter". I've also started to play with Cascading Style Sheets, which will make color/font alterations soooooooooooo much easier on large scales, should I decide to change this again.

Well, school is winding down quickly. I have 2 exams to go and then I'm outta here! I may not be playing with the page much over the summer; that depends on what kind of job I have and how my classes go, what connection I have, etc. Hope everyone has a great summer, do lots of relaxing if you can!
"Summer" header is now up, I made that today. I'll probably leave it up for a while, till school starts or 'till I just get sick of it!

'Coupla new things changed:
- All lyrics from "Mutter" are now up.
- Rammstein lyrics linked to from main lyrics page.
- Each Rammstein song has a link to an english tranlation from www.herzeleid.com.
- Links page mapped image is entirely redone.
- Music now only plays on the splash page, and comes up in a popup window, so that if you don't like it you can close the window and it never comes back (unless you go back to that page, of course).

Rammstein page is now updated with lyrics to all the songs off the new album "Mutter" added. I'm still tweaking the lyric lists right now trying to make them look the way I'd like but it's 2 am and I'm tired so I'm giving it a rest for now. 'Night!

Music's back! I found a great site, www.flashkit.com, which has small music loops that are great! Right now the splash page (www.icecreamsoldier.net) and my motorcycles page have music, but I intend to add more as I find good, appropriate clips. I hope to find a bit of the NBC news music to put here! =)

Only major change is that I've made the border, title and buttons around the left and top edges of my page thinner, to accomodate users with lower screen resolutions. I saw my page on a 640x480 res screen and the border was huge! Also, I've added to the captions of some pictures, but there are no new pictures.

And now I've taken the music off, for 2 reasons: 1) it doesn't work on all browsers or even for everyone who has IE, and 2) it takes forever for modems to download. I may put it back up if I can make it smaller and more compatible.

I've now added sound to the intro page (i.e. the one that appears when you go to www.icecreamsoldier.net). I would have added it to this main section, but it takes a while to load and setting up options to turn it off/on was too complicated. Eventually I'll have a flash intro up at my intro page, and I'll probably use that music. NOTE: music does not work with Netscape, for it lacks the necessary plugins, I think.

I've added a pictures section to my page, and it's now got its own button. "Contact" is now under "Info". Friends, if you have a nice picture of you on your computer, please send it to me! I'd love to post it! Also, I've darkened the color of the border background; several people told me the lighter one was hard on the eyes. Got a suggestion for a better color? Let me know and I'll try it out.

I've almost completely redone the page's look, if you hadn't already noticed. It used to be all black. The grey "interface" you see now was not there. Also, I've condensed the primary link set into a few 'buttons', but all the pages are still in the same place. So, if you have stuff bookmarked, it'll still work.
Another big addition is my new guestbook. Though I did have one that used email, I really wanted an automatic one. Lacking the programming knowledge to make one of my own, I downloaded one from the internet. But so far that's the only part I haven't made all by myself!

"School Stuff" section is back up, and can be accessed by clicking on the UVa logo in the top left corner. There's nothing there right now though.
