OBJECTIVES OF THE COURSE:
- To Provide an opportunity
to survey American dramatic literature.
- To examine, through
the reading of playtexts as social documents, the ways in which the
American theatre reflected and participated in cultural change.
- To study the ways in which
theatre was "made" in America during the twentieth century.
