MODERN AMERICAN DRAMA
EXAMS, PAPERS and GRADING
ASSIGNMENTS:
- In addition to a mid-term
exam and a final exam, you will be required to prepare and submit an 8-10
page paper on the contributions of either a significant American theatre artist
or a major American theatre company. The artist or company must be
one not covered in class. The paper should be prepared according to
an accepted manual of style and must be submitted on the date
specified. All extensions must be approved IN ADVANCE. Late
papers will be penalized one letter grade/each day late.
EXAMS:
- Mid-Term Exam: October 18th
- Bring AT LEAST two blue books
- Final Exam: Monday, December 11th, 2pm-5pm
ATTENDANCE:
- You will be allowed a
total of THREE unexcused absences during the course, but no more than one
absence from a discussion session. Additional absences will result
in a reduction of you final grade by 1/2 letter grade per cut. You will be assessed a cut if you
are more than 15 minutes late to class,

final grade will be determined according to the following scale:
