I am a sixth year mathematics PhD student at the University of Virginia, working under the supervision of Thomas E. Mark. I am interested in low dimensional topology and in particular symplectic 4-manifolds and contact 3-manifolds. See my research for more details.
I am one of the UVa Math Ambassadors, meaning I facilitate fun math activities for classrooms at local elementary schools. These activities explore high-level mathematics topics not in the standard curriculum and apply them to interesting, interactive problems.
I also serve as a teaching mentor and advise graduate students on their first semester of teaching.
