Medieval Christian Old Testament Exegesis in English Translation
This list attempts to collect all modern English translations of medieval Christian Old Testament interpretation (commentaries, sermons, and methodological treatises) in Catholic Europe from Gregory the Great (c. 600) to right before Luther (c. 1515). When more than one translation exists, I have chosen the more complete, more recent, and/or more accessible edition. Names and order of biblical books (as well as numbering of chapters and verses) are according to the RSV and NRSV. Note: Psalms that I have not double-checked may be off by one chapter and/or verse. “Complete” does not necessarily mean that every chapter is dealt with.
