Christian Biblical Exegesis in English Translation, c. 600–1200

This list attempts to collect all modern English translations of medieval Christian biblical interpretation (commentaries, sermons, and methodological treatises) in Catholic Europe from Gregory the Great (c. 600) to c. 1200. When more than one translation exists, I have chosen the more complete, more recent, and/or more accessible edition. They are listed chronologically by author’s year of death or, for works of unknown authorship, approximate date of completion. Under each category, methodological works are listed first with the rest in order of biblical book. Names and order of biblical books (as well as numbering of chapters and verses) are according to the RSV and NRSV. Note: Psalms that I have not double-checked may be off by one chapter and/or verse.
