Minor in Chemistry

A minor in chemistry requires the satisfactory completion of the following courses:

• Chem 141, 141L,142,142L, 241,241L, 242, 242L

or

• Chem 181, 181L, 182, 282L, 281, 281L, 282, 282L;

and

• Chem 341 or Chem 351 or Chem 381;
• One other chemistry course at the 300-level or higher (except chemistry research courses).

Chem 222 may be presented as the elective course if Chem 141, 142 is included in the program.

NO SUBSTITUTIONS ARE ALLOWED IN THE P-CHEM REQUIREMENT (341 OR 351 OR 381)

Warning: University policy does NOT allow required courses in your departmental major to be double counted towards your major and your minor. For example, chemical engineers can not apply their required CHEM 351 towards a chemistry minor; additional chemistry courses would have to be added. If you have questions consult with an adviser.
