Edward Augustus, Duke of Kent

Edward Augustus was born on 2 November 1767, and was created Duke of Kent and Strathearn, and Earl of Dublin in 1799. He married Princess Victoire of Saxe-Coburg (1786-1861) in 1818. Princess Victoire was the widow of Emich Charles, Prince of Leiningen. Edward Augustus died 23 January, 1820.

The couple had one child:

• Alexandrina Victoria, born 1819, died 1901, who reigned as Victoria, Queen of Great Britain.
