We started our hike from the main road along a dirt track with visible summit just ahead.
Starting to gain some altitude once we entered the forest zone.
Welcome to the National Park! We are already at 2,650 meters!
The first day was mostly through rain forests with the constant threat of buffalo or elephants!
The trees thin out at we approach 3,000 meters.
A dik-dik at our campsite.
We had a frost the first night!
View from our campsite.
Our campsite next to Old Moses Hut had a great view of the summits. We had reached 3,400 meters by this point.
The hut where we camped the night before is visble in the distance.
Lots of strange looking plants above the tree-line. This is called a giant lobelias.
Red-hot poker
Now all we were left with was grassland and the strange plants.
It was a very wet path.
A rock hyrax, whose closet living relative is an elephant oddly enough.
Like North Campsite at 3,993 meters where we spent two nights to acclimatize.
It was beautiful how the clounds seemed to flow down the hill side.
