nukePhysics 111 is a course intended for all those interested in the subject of energy. Structured so that it is accessible to non-science majors, this course addresses such topics as the physical nature of energy, the ways in which we produce and consume energy in our society, and how energy plays into our future. Announcements:

  • There will be an in-class quiz, this Thursday, October 25rd. It will cover the material we have covered in the text Energy up to and including chapters 13 and 14. It will also cover lecture notes through and including lecture #17. The quiz will be multiple choice, and you will not need to do any calculations to answer the questions. It will predominantly test whether you have been keeping up with the material.
  • Homework #3 is now posted. It is due at 11:55PM on Thursday November 1st.
  • The midterm paper has been assigned and is due on Tuesday, November 6th. You can find more details here, or on page six of the notes from Lecture #17.
