Before joining UVa, I was a J. R. Oppenheimer Fellow at Los Alamos National Laboratory. I was a member of Theoretical Division (T-4) and Center for Nonlinear Studies (CNLS).

Research Interests:
  • Quantum Molecular Dynamics (QMD) for strongly correlated electron materials, Gutzwiller QMD method.

  • Space-Time approach to equilibrium and non-equilibrium dynamics of strongly correlated systems.

  • Itinerant or metallic frustrated magnets: Spin-density waves, Double-exchange, and Kondo-lattice models.

  • Highly frustrated magnets: Geometrical frustration, Spin ices, Order by disorder, and Novel magnetic orders.

  • Physics of strong spin-orbit coupling: Frustrated spin-orbital model, Quantum compass, and Kitaev models.

  • Dynamics and Disorder in topological insulators and topological materials.

  • Topological defects and Domain-wall dynamics in nanomagnetism.

  • Ultrafast optics, Fiber optics, and Photonics.
