| I received my first camera on my ninth birthday, back in 1967. That Kodak 104 Instamatic was the darling of my youth. For one thing, it had buttons, and did things when I pushed them. Of longer term value, it allowed me to preserve memories of those things I wished to remember---a very potent power to put in a child's hands. I love(d) that Instamatic. |

| I currently use a Minolta Maxxum 430si (above), a Minolta Maxxum 7, and a Minolta Maxxum 5D with a wardrobe of zoom lenses, filters, and other accessories. For snapshots, I commonly use a Kodak digital point-and-shoot. I have to credit the 430si for reawakening my love of photography after years of neglect. I am particularly fond of landscapes, animals, and interesting faces. | ||
