Just getting caught up here…this is the final lecture from Chapter 4 and it covers some issues in normal stress and stress concentrations. The key here is to look at the correct chart, and read that chart the correct way. Not too difficult, but it does require some practice. There are some interesting tools and charts online to help you understand this a bit more. And if you are a real glutton for punishment, check out the Airy stress function analysis for a plate with a hole. If you go to graduate school and study structures and/or materials, you will see probably a whole semester of this!
