This is all about bending. If you need some review of shear and moment (Sec. 6.1 and 6.2), then you must review your statics notes so that you are completely comfortable with the procedures. There are also lots of online resources available to help. All of these problems are due on Friday 3/13 at NOON, and NO late homework will be accepted (so please don’t come at the end of class–or even in the middle–and expect that your homework will be accepted).
Problems 6-59, 6-91, 6-93, 6-99, 6-107, 6-121, 6-128
Three of the problems start from V & M analysis (91, 93, 99), so doing these problems will give you some good feedback about your mastery of all this material. The last three are on unsymmetric bending and composite beams, and you should know that there are some very relevant video solutions on the publisher’s website.
