As we decided in class on Friday, Exam One will be on Thursday 10/2 from 6.30-8.30 in room E303 Thornton Hall. The exam will cover Chapters 1-4, and you can bring 1 sheet of 8.5 x 11 paper with writing on ONE SIDE only. Bring your calculator, a pencil, an eraser. During the exam STOW YOUR CELL PHONE. If you want to listen to you portable music player, feel free. BUT REMEMBER, we have lots of portable content for this class, so the act of using your portable music player is PLEDGED–you are not allowed to access any of the portable digital course content (lectures, video solutions, etc.) during the exam.
This means that if you have an iPod Touch or similar web-enabled MP3 player, you obviously are not allowed to access the Collab site or the course blog during the exam either.
