Video solution: Prob. 7-40 is freakin’ sweet

Yeah, that’s right, it’s freakin’ sweet. I had planned this to be an entirely Family Guy-themed post, but it’s really hard to find FG material that’s even remotely appropriate for a forum like this. It’s really bad luck, kind of like that time I was at a conference in Vegas and saw this (I know, I used this before). Nonetheless, as I said in class I need to take my medicine for the non sequitur between Wednesday’s class and today’s.

This is a cold one which shows (actually) two ways to do the problem. The key here is that we need to make a choice about which area we will use for our A’ in the Q calculations. I show you both ways here. Clearly, both ways give you the same answer, but your choice of A’ depends upon which interpretation makes the most sense to you.
