More GarageBand training

November 12th, 2007 · No Comments

We will have a few brief GarageBand training sessions in the DML in the coming days. But I also recorded another video which starts the process from scratch and shows you the salient features of GarageBand. In the video I show you how to create a new podcast project, drop images into the “podcast track”, record audio using voice tracks, add jingles using canned music within GarageBand, add images from your iPhoto library (if you have one) and music from your iTunes library (if you have one), control volume levels and fade, add slide titles and URLs to sources, and export your final product. It’s not too long, but it actually hits all the highlights that are required for producing a professional final product.

Attached below are two media objects: (i) the video which shows the process, and (ii) the final podcast which was exported in the video. Some things to note…I forgot to trim the length of the jingle called “Peach Cobbler”, so after the first 20 seconds the images are done but the music keeps playing. Also, my son does not have his own website; www.nicky.com is some kid who is apparently a jedi master. Finally, I sold my car about 6 months ago on eBay–what an experience.
