Oh boy. This one is from way back, probably two weeks ago and attached to Module 15 (and the problem session of Module 16). Anyhow, this is another in my string of experiments with “cold” problem solving. I had not thought about this problem at all when I sat down to make the recording, but I think it illustrates the kind of thinking that can be valuable to novice and more experienced problem solvers alike. I especially like Step 1 of the Approach–I was able to talk myself into a reasonably simple 2-D projection process for the problem. This is really nice because I was NOT looking forward to all the formal vector analysis.
