Application Procedures

For SESSION I, please send:
(1) the completed student application form;
(2) two copies of an autobiographical sketch describing your significant experiences and interests, writers you admire, and your reasons for attending the Workshop;
(3) the completed recommendation form (a recommendation is not required for program alumni);
(4) two copies of a one-page writing sample in one of the genres you have chosen for Intensive Workshop study.

For SESSION II, please send:
(1) the completed student application form;
(2) two copies of a creatively conceived self-portrait;
(3) the completed recommendation form (a recommendation is not required for program alumni);
(4) two copies of a writing portfolio (3-5 pages in the genre of your first choice for Intensive Workshop). Identify excerpts as such.

For either session, SONGWRITERS may send lyrics, music, both, or an audiotape in place of a portfolio.

IMPORTANT: Please do not send original portfolio copies; we cannot return them.

DEADLINE: Please postmark your application by Monday, March 15, 2004. (Late applicants will be accepted on a space-available basis.)
