Staffs

Audio Magazine

In 1981, The Buggles claimed that "video killed the radio star," but they only felt that way because they hadn't seen Young Writers in action. Step up to the mic and transmit your words and music out to the hills. We'll create and broadcast a half-hour program for UVa's WTJU, 91.1 FM.

Green Staff

In the spirit of deriving POWER from the earth, Green Staff is in charge of running and maintaining YWW's reusing and recycling program. We'll also: hike into the sunset, learn how to smell trees, discuss eco-politics and alternative forms of energy, make sure both sides of the page get used whenever possible, and read and write about the living world around us.

Newspaper

Join the Workshop newspaper staff and cover all the events of the summer. Get experience writing leads, conducting interviews, and doing layout.

A reading circle/discussion group on prison writing throughout history. An impromptu YWW liberation front formed to help the women in the Fluvanna County Correctional Center. Know html, or Javascript, or SQL  or graphics software or FORTRAN? I'll need your help. This is an equal opportunity staff--Webgrrlz welcome.
