Follow the links below to view macromolecular complexes using Jmol, a platform-independent molecule viewer. The molecules can be viewed using either a PC or a Mac, and using any of the major web browsers. If you have trouble viewing the presentation, you're probably using a somewhat older version of a browser that doesn't support (or fully support) JavaScript. The images were generated using structural information obtained from the RCSB Protein Data Bank. You can obtain more information about the molecules presented here by clicking the molecule IDs shown on each page.
Each page has several options for display that can be selected by clicking the indicated buttons or highlighted text. Macromolecules can also be viewed in other ways by placing the cursor over the Jmol window, then control-clicking on a Mac (or right-clicking on a PC) to display a menu of display options. In addition to the menu display options, the images can be customized by going down the menu to "console" -> "open". A brief tutorial of console commands can be found here. Note that by hovering the cursor over a position of interest in a macromolecule, a label will appear that identifies the residue, chain and atom.
