After her three years on the road, in June of 1941,
Marion married Lee Wolcott, a widower. Eight months
later she resigned from the FSA to care for Lee's two
children, John and Gail, and to begin her own family.
Her first child, Linda, was born in Washington, D.C.,
while the couple was living in Oakton near Vienna,
Virginia. Her son, Michael arrived three years later
following their moveto a larger farm near Lovettsville
in Loudon County.
During the next twelve years, Marion kept her camera
nearby, recording the growing children, the farm
environments, and the children and nearby homes
of their small communities in Loudon County, Virginia.
