Silene Soil Mix:
- 3 gallons top soil
- 1.5 gallons peat moss
- 2.5 gallons turkey grit (or small gravel)
- 4.5 gallons perlite
- 6 gallons pine bark nuggets (relatively coarse)
- 11 ounces dolomitic lime
- 10 ounces hydrated lime
- 7 ounces triple super phosphate.
- Put about one third of the top soil to a bucket long with the lime and superphosphate.
- Dump the remaining ingredients in the cement mixer.
- While the soil is being mixed, homogenize (using a large spoon or something) the top soil/lime/phosphate until there are relatively few chunks of lime left.
- Sprinkle the top soil/nutrients into the cement mixer and let them homogenize for a few minutes longer.
