READING SEMINAR ON K-THEORY
FOR C*-ALGEBRAS

Spring 2008

The seminar meets Mondays 4-5:30 and Wednesdays 9-10 in Kerchof 326, organized primarily by Tom Kriete and David Sherman. Our plan is to work through the majority of the book An Introduction to K-Theory for C*-Algebras by Rørdam, Larsen and Laustsen. Although the theorems in the text are our road map, we hope for an interactive and varied format which includes examples, solutions to exercises, and other tangents. Our study group includes not just analysts but also topologists and algebraists.
