I really like the Zoho programs. Zoho Writer would be very easy for me to use in Chemistry because I have to type many chemical formulas and equations and it gets tiresome trying to do subscripts and superscripts over and over. Zoho writer has buttons right there! Zoho Sheet would also be useful because I often use Excel and this would allow me to send my spreadsheets and graphs to colleagues instead of printing them out and making many copies. Zoho Show is nice, but I’m so used to PowerPoint that I don’t know if I could switch. Bubbleshare seems like it could be very useful, especially for leaving something with a sub!

Zoho is nice because the features are accessible from any computer, and you don’t have to worry about having your memory stick or disk. I like that you can share with others, too, on all of these sites (and choose the people you do so with). Bubbleshare has some cute options with editing your photos. Kids would love adding in captions with word bubbles and turning their picture into a puzzle! This is another good site to enlist an intern or third grade buddy with assisting uploading the photos/working one on one with children while they edit/play.

I like the idea of the Zoho programs. Who knew!!! Again, this is a great way to share without attachments. I don’t particularly like Zoho show. It’s just too basic but the writer an the sheet are wonderful tools when using multiple computers. My students might find this useful since many of the floppy drives do not work and they often are not able to save their work. This would also allow them to work at home on something that was started in school and vice versa. By the end of the year, they could have a nice portfolio of their work that can be shared with others.

The Zoho features are pretty interesting. Like I said for the seedwiki, it would have been a useful tool for us in the last class where we shared our writing, made comments, and suggested changes. With the ZohoWriter, we would have been able to highlight the areas we were suggesting changes to be made, and we would not have had to send out numerous emails with lots of attachments. I’m thinking about trying the ZohoShow with my summer school students. I’ll let you know how it goes!

The zoho tolls seem to be reaaly useful. The writer option is nice and the students can share and work on things at home. Also, if you don’t have microsoft word it can be a lifesaver! The spreadsheet option was my favorite. Not only will i use this, but I think that it can be used as a teaching tool in sevral subjects.

I like the Zoho writer and spreadsheet because I work on things at home and at school. I could save them to these programs and not have to keep up with my memory stick or worry about something not being able to be read in one place verses the other. (Mac vs. PC) I’m not sure I like Zoho Show. I couldn’t get it to do what I wanted when I tried to play with it. Some of the other things we have seen may be more useful to me.

I liked the Zoho writer, but I do not use spreadsheets. I like Power Point better than Zoho show.

I loved this tool. I am looking forward to trying it with my students. I believe it can be very useful in the classroom and something the students can use at home as well.

I enjoyed Bubbleshare and think it is great for photo sharing and just getting ideas. Zohowriter is nice because it’s free; however, I am not comfortable with the idea that is available to the public. The great part is that you can log in at any computer, and if you don’t have access to Word this would make your life easier. I am not crazy that Zoho makes you sign in separately for Zohowriter, Zohosheet and Zohoshow. I use alot of graphs w/my kids and think they would enjoy seeing the colorful graphs.

The Zoho Writer will be very useful in my class. We do not have Word on every computer in our school so this tool is very helpful for publishing.

  11. wbetters Says:

I thought bubbleshare was a decent photo program. The zoho programs will be great to use without having to worry about what computer I worked on or whether I have the information saved. I loved the colorful graphs on zohosheet and hope to use those in class.

I like bubble share. This is a program I could use a lot. I will be responsible for an autistic child next year. He needs pictures for EVERYTHING. This program could help a lot. I love the Zohosheet. It looks like it’s easy to use, and could make life in Special Ed easier. My team needs a lot of visual aids. This would be great. The Zoho products look useful.

  13. spickelsimer Says:

I think Bubble Share is interesting. I can’t believe how many people are sharing their entire lives with this service! I hope teenagers especially are careful with this site.

  14. Anika Armistead Says:

I think the Zoho programs are neat. I liked the ability to create the charts and graphs on ZohoSheet and then share them with other students. I can see this working great with our Pre-IB Chemistry classes and Pre-IB Algebra 2 classes that often share data on labs and projects where they analyze data.

  15. vickie ryder Says:

The Zoho programs would be a great tools for writing. Their are great advantages, such as the ability to add graphs to their papers, as well as the ability to share their writing on line. Bubleshare would be beneficial for my personal use.

  16. aweeks Says:

All of these collabortive tools are great. Zoho seems really put together and user friendly. I love how these services eliminate the need for a disk. High schoolers would probably get more use out of these services. Younger children probably would not care how others changed documents. Once my students are done with their part, they tend to be ‘done.’

  17. Sally Says:

The Zoho tools are a great way to do things when you don’t have the programs readily available. I really like bubbleshare and will probably use it in the future.
All the programs that scrap the need for a disk are great.

  18. TFields Says:

I really like the zoho tools. The zoho writer will be good to use in my classroom because I do not have word on all of my computers. This seems very easiy to use. I will have to try the zoho show and compare it more to power point to see which one I like the best. I will use the bubbleshare for personal use.

  19. Leigh Says:

I can’t wait to introduce my English classes to Zoho writer In the past, we have had so many problems with saving the student’s work; using zoho tools, students will no longer need to panic when they discover that their computer does not have a compatible drive or that their disk is not functioning! I liked the appealing layout of Zoho writer and the capacity to track changes made to documents. I also love that the Zoho programs make work between home and school a breeze!

  20. SandDayvis Says:

The Zoho tools are great ways to save a document without having to worry about floppy disks and memory sticks. Bubbleshare had some good pics. I am looking forward to exploring these sites more in the future.

  21. kimafix Says:

The Zoho tools are a great way for students to access work at home. It is also a way for teachers to share documents without a disc. These tools are nice because they can be accessed from any computer. The Bubbleshare site had some interesting pictures. My students could use this to add photos to their digital storytelling.

  22. jowood Says:

The Zoho tools are great. It is a free program available for anyone to use. My students can use the program to create word processing documents, spreadsheets, and presentations.

  23. McCoy Says:

Bubbleshare is okay, but I feel there are other and better web based photo sharing sites out there…shutterfly, etc. As for Zoho, I feel there are some security issues with the school’s network that make me feel uneasy with trusting it.

  24. rfuller Says:

I am so glad this is my last blog. I loved the Zoho programs tremendously. This is great for kids to create documents, presentations, and be creative with bubbleshare. I like the idea that these programs are accessible anywhere. I also like the fact that collegues can use it as a sharing tool as well. Farewell Roanoke blog!!!!

  25. kerryhurst Says:

The Zoho programs could prove to be very useful. The ability to import from an export to Microsoft Office products is great. It would be a great way for kids who work in groups on a project to gather all of their work together without having to worry about floppy discs, jump drives and other means of physically sharing their work.
