The Committee works to advocate progress toward a more environmentally-conscious and sustainable University.  We focus on facets of sustainability directly impacting the University Community, as well as the larger Charlottesville community, including water and energy use, waste and recycling, dining, built environment, and transportation.  We look to collaborate closely with existing sustainability efforts and initiatives by University students and officials, and to suggest and implement innovative new ideas for a greener and more environmentally-responsible U.Va.   The University of Virginia Student Council Environmental Sustainability Committee 2007-2008 Committee of the Year
