The Teaching & Technology Support PartnerThe Teaching and Technology Support Partners (TTSP) program is a component of the Teaching & Technology Initiative program(TTI). The "partners" are graduate fellows, who provide technological support for teaching innovation to faculty members in participating departments over a three-year period. The approach is based on successful programs already in place at UVa which pair graduate assistants with faculty in support of instructional technology. The TTSP program is funded for a three-year period in order to address the needs of faculty members who may not yet have begun to use technology in their teaching but who have a lively interest in doing so. Partners are trained to guide faculty members in the use of one or a few technological tools that can be quickly mastered and deployed. They are also able to give informed referrals to services and expertise available at the University for help on larger projects. The TTSP program is organized around a team of graduate students specifically trained to meet faculty technological needs in participating departments. The TTS partners participate in special training sessions organized by ITC and TRC staff members. These sessions are designed to train TTS partners so that they can offer faculty members in departments selected for the program a menu of specific technological and pedagogical innovations. Drama and TTSP
In order to facilitate this mission and allow it's students and faculty to continue to collaborate, hone techniques, to risk and to dare, the the Department has made a commitment to help faculty members bring technology into the classroom. The goal of this effort is twofold. First, the goal is to improve the quality of the learning experience in the classroom, studio and stage. And secondly, to help faculty use technology more efectively in their research. It is my job to help you work out all of the details in planning and implementation into the classroom succesfully. |
