Starting Fall 2007, Randy Cogill will be an Assistant Professor in the department of Systems and Information Engineering at University of Virginia. Prior to joining University of Virginia, he was a Ph.D. candidate in the department of Electrical Engineering at Stanford University, earning his Ph.D. in June 2007. His research interests are in stochastic control, combinatorial optimization, and networked systems. He was a recipient of the Stanford Graduate Fellowship, and was co-awarded the best student paper award at the 2005 IEEE Conference on Decision and Control.
